Starting Story

The venture was started by a personal problem. I started working in South East Asia from 2003. During my time in Vietnam, I saw everything was copy, trick with too much decorations. I tried to accommodate that situation. In the end I felt myself become deprived in such atmosphere same as things around me.
In my hometown, I visited local factory event (kouba-fes.jp). I witnessed old blacksmiths making metal tools. It generated noble aura. The works can’t be compared to other commercial products. That precious experience changed my life deeply.
My hometown is a blacksmith village, named Sanjo. It was from 400 years ago. Today craftsmanship still remained there. I decided to introduce their works into Vietnam.
Traditional tools gained their value by aging with proper maintenance. The blade is alive by sharpening. Without sharpening, it’s dysfunctional. I want longevity for our products.
I learned sharpening and fundamentals of metalworks in Sanjo.
I offer master craftsmanship in Vietnam. Our life will enrich with authentic means.
